Rev. Daniel Umaru, the Pastor in charge of EYN Church, Njairi, Mubi, Adamawa state was on Wednesday night attacked in his home by armed gunmnen who , killed his two sons and kidnapped his 13 year old daughter.
Reverend Umaru, who was reportedly shot in the incident, is currently battling for his life in the hospital while his wife who witnessed the attack, was unconscious as at the time of writing this report due to shock.
Humwashi Wonosikou, Press Secretary to Governor Ahmadu Fintiri of Adamawa, confirmed the incident, saying the gunmen stormed the Reverend’s house around 2:00 am.
Governor Fintiri has described the attack as shocking and barbaric, and has asked security operatives to go after the attackers.
