About Us

Samson Omale is a multimedia broadcast  journalist with over 20  years of reporting experience. He is currently the Head of News at Nigeria's Silverbird communication in Jos, owners of Rhythm FM and Silverbird Television.

Samson is also known for his work as a blogger, photographer and convener of #2023conversations.

​

#2023Conversations is citizens' engagement platform aimed at enlisting ordinary Nigerians to be part of the political leadership recruitment process ahead of the 2023 election in Nigeria.

​

The focus of the #2023Conversations is to inform, connect, and empower citizens by providing a platform to discuss and question the leadership credentials of aspiring political office holders.

​

Samson has consulted widely for several international NGOs including Search for common ground, British Council-NSRP project, equal access, Tearfund, Giz among others

​

Samson’s work as a Journalist has featured internationally on global media brands like the Voice of America, Deutsche Welle, TRT, CGTN, SABC, 702, EWN and several international outlets.

Samson is a Fellow of the Bloomberg/African Leadership Institute media initiative- Kenya, South Africa, New York, Global Media Forum, Bonn, Associate Fellow Institute of Chartered mediators and conciliators of Nigeria 

​

He is an alumnus of the Radio Netherlands Training Center, Hilversum
