The Police Command in Kano state has confirmed the arrest of a member elect for Dala federal constituency in Kano state.
Aliyu Sanni Madaki was arrested over the possison of an illegal firearm he was seen brandishing during political camopaigns leading up to o saturday's Presidential and National Assembly Elections, he was inbvolved
Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), SP Abdullahi Haruna-Kiyawa Confirmed that Mr. Madaki is currently being investigated by the criminal investigation departement of the state command.
Aliyu Madaki contested and won his election on the platform of New Nigerian Peoples Party, NNPP.
Mr. Madaki who is a Member of the house of representatives was a member of the opposition PDP until he resigned his membership from the party on the 29th March, 2022
