Speaker of the Plateau State House of Assembly, Abok Ayuba Monday morning raised alarm over the deployment of extra security personnel to the Assembly complex.
The Speaker raised the alarm while appearing on a National television programme.
On a visit to the Assembly complex at 10:30am, it appeared some of the Police vans and their personnel had been withdrawn, but the DSS operatives were seen within the complex.
www.samsonomale.com noticed that no one was prevented from gaining access as normal security checks were being carried out on vehicles going into the complex.
However, much earlier in the morning, there were several Police vans seen around and within the precincts of the State Assembly complex.
The House is on a three-week recess but www.samsonomale.com gathered that the Members are expected to meet for an executive session soon.
The House of Assembly on Friday gave the Governor of Plateau State 2 weeks ultimatum to address the security challenges in the state which have caused the death of no less than 80 persons between July and August, 2021.
Dasun Philips, House Committee chairman on information, however confirmed to this blog that there are no plans to impeach the Governor .
