TOKYO 2020: Nigeria D’Tigress camp in frenzy after Draw

The draws for the female basketball event for the 2020 Olympic games has been made


The Nigerian side was pitched against defending champion United States, France and host country Japan in group B in the draws conducted on Tuesday.


As the preparations for the Tokyo 2020 Olympic games continues, skipper D’Tigeress, Adaora Elonu has said they are ready to play against the best.


She expressed excitement over the early camping exercise put in place by the Nigeria Basketball Federation which she believes will put them in good shape before the games.


“I am so excited as well as the other players and we cannot wait to compete at the Olympics. We are always excited to see who we are going to compete against and I think they really put us in a group that we have to compete against the best.”

The D’Tigress captain speaking from the team’s camp in Atlanta described the mood in camp under the supervision of Coach Otis Hughley as good and nice with the coaches more prepared than ever before.


Speaking on behalf of her team mates, Adaora revealed that the camping and a renewed focus on the Olympic Games is a nice break for most of the players plying their trades in Europe and within the United States of America.”
