The Association of Retired broadcasters , ARVB Plateau Radio Television Corporation chapter ,Jos has congratulated Yakubu Taddy on his well deserved appointment as acting General Manager of the Corporation.
In a statement signed by Chairman of ARVB Sunday Gye and secretary of the Association Dennis Dater, the group said as a seasoned broadcaster that rose through the ranks to managerial level, Yakubu Taddy's appointment has not come to them as a surprise.
The statement recalls that PRTVC was a launching pad for Nigeria's digitization for the broadcast industry and are therefore confident that they will keep the flag Flying.
The Association urges the Acting General Manager to uphold professionalism in the broadcast content which is fast becoming a nightmare in the Corporation as is the case in some broadcast media organizations in the Country.
The Association expressed no doubt the competition within the industry is intense as a result of the private media organizations.
They however wish that the acting GM will not compromise standard but instead improve on it.
The Association is confident that the acting GM will bring his wealth of experience to bear in the administration of the media organization to maintain and improve on the vision and mission of the founding fathers.
The statement added that having once administered the Nigerian Union of Journalist, Plateau State Council and Plateau United Football Club of Jos successfully, it therefore goes without saying that Taddy is fully equipped for the assignment.
