The Nassarawa state Police command has confirmed the arrest of a suspected criminal who has been on the wanted list of the Nasarawa State Police Command.
Nassarawa state Police Public relations officer, ASP Ramhan Nansel in a press statement made available to Jurnalist said the Sus[ect, Likita Abubakar 'a 35 year-old man has been on the wanted list of the command for offenses ranging from Armed robbery to Kidnapping.
According to the Police, the suspect was sighted at Alushi Junction, Akwanga LGA, Nasarawa State and upon diligent and systematic search, 53 empty magazines, 260 rounds of live ammunition and cash sum of #38,500 was recovered from him as exhibits.
Eyewitnesses who were at the scene of the arrest said the Suspect had confessed that the ammunition was bound for Jos, Plateau state explaining that other
members of his gang numbering 6 are already on their way on motorcycles also heading to Jos at the moment, says Likita.
The Commissioner of Police, CP Adesina Soyemi has ordered that, the case be transferred to State Criminal Investigation Department, Lafia for thorough investigation.
