Former Plateau Governor's Son, To Contest House of Reps Seat
Mr Pam Jang, son of immediate past governor of Plateau, Sen. Jonah Jang has joined the race for the Jos East/Jos South Federal Constituency seat in 2023.
This came to light on Tuesday in Jos when his "league of friends" presented him with the nomination forms to contest for the Jos East/Jos South Federal Constituency seat in 2023
The trained Pilot, has no known political experience as his participation in the race is expected to heighten the drama ahead of the 2023 general election.
Dr Dagwom Dang, a friend of Jang said the friends conducted a Strength, Weakness, Opportunities and Threats (SWOT) analysis and realized that Mr. Jang was eminently qualified to represent his people at the National Assembly.
Dr. Dang who presented the forms on behalf of the league of friends to Mr. Jang, noted that as a pilot and leader, the aspirant will have the precision and tact to direct his crew with quality representation.
The Director-General of the campaign team, Hon. Itse Ajiji said Jos South and Jos East has being yearning for quality representation, describing Pam Jang as having the leadership endowments needed for the people of his constituents.
Responding, Mr. Jang said that he was never interested in politics until his friends put pressure on him to contest and even went ahead to buy the expression of interest and nomination forms for him.
He said he could not go against the wish of his people which is for him to represent them at the National Assembly on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
