The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Makurdi Zonal Directorate, has arrested Dr. Mkor Aondona, Special Adviser to the Executive Governor of Benue State on Documentation, Research, and Planning, over allegations of sextortion and cyberbullying.

Dr. Aondona was taken into custody on Friday, June 20, 2025, in Makurdi, following multiple complaints submitted by female students who accused him of engaging in acts of sexual exploitation, cyber harassment, and blackmail.
According to the petitioners, the suspect allegedly lured young, slim, and attractive women with offers of ushering jobs, which he made conditional upon providing sexual favors. It is further alleged that he secretly recorded sexual encounters without the consent of the individuals involved and used the recordings to threaten and coerce continued sexual involvement.
Investigations also revealed that explicit videos—allegedly obtained without the victims’ knowledge—were distributed via various messaging platforms. Some of these videos are reportedly in circulation.
The suspect is currently in EFCC custody and will be formally charged in court upon the conclusion of investigations.
